Actual Victorians in Grand Ledge, MI, late 19th century
Previous years’ Victorian Day photos: parade and Civil War skirmish
The first Saturday in May, Grand Ledge celebrates Michigan artists, local culture, and our rich Victorian heritage by inviting visitors to join us for historical demonstrations and themed activities in our beautiful downtown, overlooking the river and picturesque ledges.
This is a wonderful opportunity to discover Grand Ledge, explore our unique geography, learn about our rich history, and meet our friendly residents and shop-keepers.
Victorian Day 2012 planning is underway, and we’d love your help!
Do you have ideas, a skill or craft, or a performance piece you’d like to share at this year’s event? Our Planning Committee is excited to hear about it!
We have some exciting new ideas on the table this year, and we’re looking for participants and sponsors for individual events as well as the festival as a whole.
Our presenters, re-enactors, and sponsors are the beating heart of Victorian Day, and we really can’t do it without you.
We’d love to hear your feedback!
We’d like to thank everyone - participants and guests alike - who helped to make last year’s festival a success, and invite you to return in 2012 for another day of time travel and fun.
Whether or not you were able to attend last year, we’re keen to know what you think. Your feedback will help us to make this year’s Victorian Day better than ever before!
